Are there any requirements to attend the 2024 ZIN™ Convention?

Yes. This event is exclusive to members of the Zumba® Instructor Network (ZIN™). You must be a ZIN™ Member with an account in good standing at the time of registration and at the time of the ZIN™ Convention. In the event that your ZIN™ Account is not in good standing at the time of the event (August 8 - August 11, 2024), your ZIN™ Convention registration will be canceled and you will not receive a refund.

Will I get a certificate of completion for attending the ZIN™ Convention?

Yes, you will receive a digital certificate of completion post event so you can request your Continuing Education Credits.

Will I get a certificate of completion or be licensed to teach any of the Flavors, Lectures and/or Learning Capsules I take (e.g., African Workout: Enter the Jungle, Warm-Up and Cooldowns, etc.)?

By taking Flavors and/or Learning Capsules you are NOT licensed to teach that specific session. Flavors and Learning Capsules are intended to expand your knowledge of fundamental concepts and world rhythms so you can apply them to your Zumba® classes. No certificate of completion will be given for attending Flavors or Learning Capsules.

What does every package include in addition to what I have signed up for?

Where will the Convention events be held (Sessions, Instructor Training Courses, parties, etc.)?

The entire Zumba® Instructor Convention (DREAM ON: An Interactive Music Experience, Sessions, Specialty Boosts, Instructor Training Courses, sponsor booths, theme party, etc.) will be held inside The Hyatt Regency Orlando and the South Concourse of the Orange County Convention Center (venues connected with a covered walkway). Everything will be located within walking distance from any of the hotels in our room block.

How do I register for DREAM ON: An Interactive Music Experience?

DREAM ON: An Interactive Music Experience is included in your ZINCON registration. ZIN™ Members will be able to choose which one of the two time slots (Friday or Saturday) they want to attend during ZINCON online registration process (first come, first served!).

What is the ZIN™ Convention cancellation policy?

Our policy varies depending on the date of the cancellation.


Cancellation Fee Until March 24, 2024: $0.00

Cancellation Fee from March 25 to May 15, 2024: $250.00

Cancellation Fee After May 15, 2024: NO REFUND

Same fee for what is considered a “no show.” If you do not cancel before May 15, 2024, and do not attend, you will not receive a refund.

To cancel your ZIN™ Convention registration, simply click on "Register Now," type in your username and password and follow the on-screen directions.


Safety first. Salsa second. In order to provide a safe environment for all registrants, this event will follow all relevant federal, state and local health and safety mandates, guidelines and protocols, including those put in place by the venue.

What is the ZIN™ Convention transfer policy?

Transfer Fee Until May 15, 2024: $0.00

Transfer Fee from May 15 to July 15, 2024: $20.00


Transfers will be are accepted only until July 15, 2024 (11:59 PM EST), as long as there are still spots available. You will be charged a $20 processing fee for each login session. While logged in you are able to make multiple transfers. If you want to make a transfer, simply click "Register Now," type in your username and password and follow the on-screen directions.

Do the hotel rates only apply to the dates of the ZIN™ Convention?

The Hyatt Regency Orlando will extend their $184.00 (plus tax) hotel room rate, the Hilton Hotel Orlando will extend their $184.00 (plus tax) hotel room rate, and the Rosen Centre will extend their $167.00 (plus tax) hotel room rate three days before and after the ZIN™ Convention dates.

What is the hotel room cancellation policy?

All reservations require a non-refundable deposit of the equivalent to one (1) one night's selected room rate plus tax ("Deposit"). This deposit may be reflected on your credit card statement as early as July 5, 2024 (subject to change without notice).

In the event a guest checks out prior to the reserved check-out date, the Hotel will charge an early departure fee of one night’s group room rate plus taxes. Guests wishing to avoid an early departure fee should advise the Hotel at or before check-in of any changes to the planned length of stay.

In addition to the Deposit, 2024 ZIN™ Convention’s official hotel accommodations agent, ConferenceDirect, will charge a $50 cancellation fee for any cancelled reservation(s) made at any time. May 24th date is for the departments charged the day after the name deadline.

Resort Fees: Descriptions listed below will be added to the tax rate information. The resort fee is not included in the rate. You may display the hotel rates as shown above.

Can I transfer my Convention package to another ZIN™ Member?

No.

If I can't make it to the Convention, can I apply my Convention registration to other Zumba® products (e.g., Instructor Training Courses, Zumba® Wear merchandise, other Zumba events, etc.)?

No, you will not be able to apply your Convention registration to other Zumba® products or events. If you're unable to make it to Convention, be sure to cancel as soon as possible to avoid the no-show fee (please see cancellation policy FAQ).

When does super saver pricing end?

Super Saver registration ends March 15, 2024 after registration launches. If you're unable to purchase your ticket at that time, early-bird registration starts immediately afterward.

When will registration for the ZIN™ Convention close?

The last day to register for the ZIN™ Convention will be August 6, 2024, unless the event sells out prior to that date. No registrations will be accepted after this date.

What type of floor surface will the Convention session rooms have?

We will be dancing on low-grade carpet, which means shoes that do not have a jogging or cross-training sole are best.

Will I receive continuing education credits (CECs/CEUs) for the Instructor Training Courses, Flavors, Learning Capsules and Specialty Trainings I take at the Convention?

Yes. You will receive instructions on how to redeem your CECs/CEUs in the post event email.

Can my spouse attend the Convention if he or she is not registered for the Convention? What about my children?

Only officially registered attendees with a Convention credential will be allowed in to Convention events, unless otherwise noted.

Will there be Zumba® Wear merchandise for sale at the Convention?

Yes! We will have most of the items available on zumba.com, as well as special Convention-only products at discounted prices. We will also be launching new products at the Convention.

Will there be special prices for Zumba® Wear merchandise at the Convention?

All products will be priced at the already discounted ZIN™ price, and some will be discounted to even lower Convention-only prices!

What is the return policy for Zumba® Wear merchandise bought at the Convention?

There will be no exchanges, only returns will be accepted. Returns are only accepted from items purchased at the Convention main store. NO returns will be able to be made from our outlet store or after Convention is over.

Can Zumba® Wear merchandise bought online be returned at the Convention?

No. All items bought on zumba.com need to be returned following the Zumba's return policy.

What forms of payment can I use to purchase Zumba® Wear merchandise at the Convention?

MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover Card, US Dollars, Traveler's Check, Money Order and Cashier's Check. Please note that NO personal checks will be accepted.

Will there be medical staff on-site?

Yes. Emergency Medical Services will be available on-site during convention hours.

Note: EMS will carry basic first aid supplies as well as over-the-counter medications, oxygen, and an AED (Automated External Defibrillator). They will be stationed in designated areas within The Hyatt Regency Hotel and Medical Room #6 at the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC).

When should I book my airfare?

Our advice: Save money on your airline ticket and book your flight as soon as possible!

When should I plan on arriving and departing?

With so much to do in Orlando and the busy Convention schedule, it’s recommended you arrive at your destination hotel early on Tuesday, August 6. Arriving early provides ample time to get registered, checked in and settled. It also gives you the chance to take advantage of our pre-con events or attend a ZIN™ sponsored event on Wednesday, August 7. Check the Forum for the inside scoop on the hottest events.

It is highly recommended you plan on departing Monday, August 12 to ensure your departure is convenient and not rushed. If you plan on leaving Sunday, August 11, it is recommended your departure plans are after 4:00 PM (the last session ends at 2:00 PM).

The Convention is strategically located on International Drive, a main thoroughfare in Orlando, which offers tons of restaurants, an outdoor shopping mall and many other attractions for the entire family. If I am feeling sick or experiencing any COVID-19 related symptoms on the day of the event, should I come to the event?

If you are sick or experiencing any COVID-19 related symptoms (including, but not limited to, a fever, cough, or shortness of breath), you should not attend the event.

Are there any COVID-19 guidelines or protocols in place for this event?

To ensure the safest environment possible for event registrants, this event will follow all local health and safety guidelines and protocols, including those put in place by the venue and local governmental bodies. As we get closer to the event, the applicable safety guidelines and protocols will be communicated to event registrants.
